Hey Seth

Me too.

As it is though, I'll be celebrating the hurricane in sunny 86 degree Portland, Oregon. Praying my dog, my house, and the rest of youse guys survive the hurricane.

Then I'll be seeing Shorty the following weekend in Seattle at Bumbershoot Festival.

hey seth,

is it just me, or has it been far too long since Queens of the Stone Age played anywhere remotely close to DC?  any chance we could fix that?

thaaaaaaaaaanks…

Co-signed for Queens. They'd mentioned adding more US dates way back when they announced that mini run in March, but nothing ever came out. Would love to see them back at the 930.
yes Queens please.
Not sure if this was one requested yet:

Anna Calvi is back in the States in December playing NYC. Can we get a D.C. show? (Or is she way too small for the club?)
WEEN!

I mean with all respect Seth, Liz, other venerated 930 peeps in da hous what do we have to do to get Ween to DC??

You used to have them at the 930 regularly.. then not so regular.. then a show at substandard sound DAR a long time ago and now nothing for like FOUR years..

throw in a free fishing boat and some tackle for deaner, a cheeseburger for gener…what-ever..maybe take him to the eastern shore after the show..i don't know what..just make it happen!
And let's make it two nights…since their last few setlists here have always been better the night before or after. Actually, just let me write the setlist and I think we'll all be happy.

You need to quit the board again.

oh goodie. thanks for playing.

I mean its over for ween? what does that mean?

they are selling out bigger and better venues every year (probably why we don't get them in dc.. in the mid-late 90s they were a regional band.. you'd go to a ween show and see a ton of PA plates around)

the performances are as good as ever.. i can say that because i've been seeing them since about 1996

what is over is their desire or need to release albums.. they just don't need to do it and they are obviously pretty lazy, deaner is busy fishing.. so the great run in the 90s of released albums is over..

but when they play Your Party from La Cucaracha its as much a ween anthem as any older song

as usual your mileage may vary but its certainly NOT OVER for the increasing numbers of people that go to their live shows.

Seth,

Where is our Noel Gallagher date? :( You're gonna make me go to Philly to see him?

Seconded.  Super bummed to not see D.C. on the list, especially since he's playing Boston and Philly.

There's quite a few shows that hit Boston/Philly and not DC.. Namely Manu Chao
Maybe he can be added to the Beady Eye show on 12/08?  :P

If Seth can do this I think a Nobel Prize for Peace is on the horizon….
Hey Seth,

I still don't have electricity back since the storm. Can I stay at the club for a night or two until it comes back on?

Regards,

betao.
Scratch Acid are playing the US in November/December, a booking would be most appreciated.
