Hey Seth

i don't think seth is listening to you anymore.

;D
Shut Up and Play the Hits!
Will somebody please just book the Hot Snakes?
Seth,

Please book Prince Buster! DO IT! I quote below from the All Music Guide.. the great thing is even though he's pretty much retired he's still alive and ostensibly well living in Miami! Getting him to the 930 would be a night to remember!

On an island overflowing with exceptional talent on both sides of the mixing board, to suggest that just one man was the most influential is perhaps absurd, but if you took a poll, Prince Buster would inevitably win by a wide margin. He remains synonymous with ska, while being equally important to rocksteady. From Judge Dread to rude reggae, Prince Buster has left his imprint across Jamaica's musical landscape, both as a singer and a producer. 2-Tone wouldn't have existed without him, and by extension, neither would the third wave. And over 45 years after he first appeared on the music scene, Prince Buster was still making an impact.

I second the Prince Buster request.

Wait, I didn't say that!  I didn't say that at all!!!

But I wouldn't mind it, either.

Hey Seth,

Bloc Party is playing Terminal 5 in New York August 8th.  It appears a one-off show, but they've plenty of open dates (as far as I can tell) around then.  It'd be awesome to have a 930 show as well.
Since Seth has previously been so supportive of getting Bloc Party to the club, believe me, I definitely posted my wish as soon as they gave the head nod they were out from the studio (and still a band).

I know this is a big stretch, Seth…but Green Day just announced three new albums to come out…I'm sure a big show such as Verizon/MPP will be the choice, but if they can swing into the club for an intimate show as well, that would be fun. Thanks!

Sigur Rós possibility too?

Either way, GD and SR are IMP preferred.:)
sigur ros @ MPP would be really nice, IMO.  strathmore would be OK too.

Anywhere closer than Philadelphia would be nice.
agreed about Strathmore, although would like to take a turn at the club. Either way, if not a good fit, my wishes always infer IMP dominance for shows. :)
Hey Seth, Glen Hansard has a new album coming out. Some tour dates in the US then overseas and back to for more in US: SW and SE. Can you please book him at the club? At a reasonable cost? Thanks, much.

(I probably shouldn't ask for shows here; I appear to be jinxed. I'm either out of town or can't get a ticket for these particular ones.)
si no te importa porque pedis nabo?
I feel like Sigur Ros would be much better suited for a theater or club. Any indoor venue, really. I love them to death but I feel like a show at MPP wouldn't do it justice and there'd be alot of chatter from the audience.
Agreed. Just assuming with the summer season MPP may be one choice for bookers.

Um, hutch..foot infection turnip? Must be a new Spanish band. Love, The Oracle.
If Damon Albarn tours his Dr Dee album stateside, please try to get D.C. on the itinerary.
hey seth . . . if somebody handed you a joint, would you smoke it?

actually . . . that is a horrible question to ask a business person or anybody publicly associated with a business.  i like to think all business like.  it's hot.  but,  sorry anyway!
Hey Seth, If you have a copy of EW magazine this week, turn to page 13 and see #4 on the Must List. "No Room For Rock Stars" is the new documentary about the 2010 Vans Warped Tour. Look at the t-shirt in the photo…
p.s. I know there are a lot of shows to be had, but maybe you can show music movies / docs (ex/ 930 F St) at the club, or U Hall?

well I smoked my way thru the formative years and then, one day, just decided I didn't like it anymore

and never did again

made me paranoid…and anyone who knows me knows I don't need any gas on that fire

so, of course, in my world I have been passed joints…I just have no desire
