haven't both these artists played dc recently?? wilco was just at merriweather or am i hallucinating? and neil young did DAR last year or maybe even earlier this year..
Neil and Wilco have both played Philly and New York semi-recently as well. This bill is so good, I think few people would complain about a DC stop.

well you're right about that.. few people would complain…

oh and i forgot wilco just did the virgin fest! that would be three times in a few months..

where would they play? patriot center? verizon?

it would have to be one of those because it will be too cold for merriewather….and either artist can do fairly well at DAR on their own

i don't think they can do verizon..not in this town..

so you're down to the patriot center.. nothing to get too excited about IMHO and not sure it would sell out….

i'm not sure i'd promote this show but we'll see what seth does…
AC DC THAT IS THE SHOW TO BRING TO DC!!!!!!!!

automatic guaranteed sell out

question is whether live nation is going to promote the tour..my friend thinks so because live nation set up an AC DC store on their website or somesuch..but i'm not convinced..

but i think the demand for AC DC is very big…their album is going to blow it up when it comes out (NUMBER ONE BABY!).i would love to see them hit dc for two or three shows even if spead out….there's some nice action there for the promoter!

As long as it's not at Nissan, I'd be all over this.

Ditto!

Also!

Dolly Parton is playing some shows in the Northeast/Midwest, and it'd be one HELL of a time if she was at the club. I think people would flip their shit and that it would sell out relatively quick.

I think before she gets scooped up by the Birchmere folks, she'd be better off at the club where she could bring it to DC, proper.

Please book her! She's got dates in Providence and Connecticut in early-Nov!
i think dolly parton played at the club last time she was here. when was that? i can't remember.

Are you talking about July 2002? That's the last time she's played the club, I think. The last couple of times she's been to the city, it's either been the Patriot Center or Constitution Hall. I know she played the House of Blues in Atlantic City not too long ago, and it'd be great to see her at a small/mid-sized (*cough* General Admission *cough*) venue like that here in DC.

WERD - i can't wait to crowd-surf to "(You Got Me Over) A Heartache Tonight"!!!
Seth…any chance you could get Red Bridge beer at one of the bars? It's a decent beer for people with gluten/wheat allergies (made with sorgham so it's wheat free). Budweiser makes it so it should be easy to get. Thanks.
Eagles of Death Metal are dropping their new album in October, They've only anounced tour dates in CA in September.

How about a night of Boots Electric at the club? :D
Speaking of people who just announced album releases, Squarepusher has one coming out in october so I'm going to take this opportunity to beat Sweetcell to the obligatory request.

Interesting…not being able to drink beer is the #2 hardest thing about having a gluten allergy. So I would second the request for gluten-free beer, definitely! But I've never tried it. Is it decent, Chip?
