Thank you Seth for ACE FREHLEY the greatest guitar player to grace the 930 stage since maybe Chuck Berry (I can't be too thankful here publicly as people will make fun of me for my love of Ace or you but you know I know…)
I will say this… I don't think ace is a guitar god, however, I do think hutch had an influence on this booking, brah.

I have to agree that for men of a
certain age, Ace is a legitimate guitar god. I don't think it's particularly due to his ability. He was a fine player but the 70s were rife with far better players, in terms of skill and/or feel. But Ace was the engine behind MOTHERFUCKING KISS and if you were of sentient age in 1975 and you saw this photo

then you immediately became an Ace fanatic.

^ see now that i can't object to. i never got in to KISS but i can understand their appeal to a certain age group (my degree of sentience was pretty low in '75). but that make him a rock god with a guitar, not a guitar god.

My parents wouldn't let me listen to KISS or Black Sabbath. Too satanic.
I'm not sure how I convinced them to let me go see Ozzy as my first concert, but by that time I was probably in high school.

Yes. If they could double-bill with LCD Soundsystem that would be ducky. Presale code?

Have you been approached to book another Manic Street Preachers show?

Dont' forget Ace Frehley!
I do like Ace actually. I grew up a Kiss fan and have seen them once but it was without Ace and Peter Criss unfortunately.

First round of GBV dates announced - any chance we see them at the Club?
Also any chance the EODM/DFA1979 twin bill makes it south of the border after their Candadian dates?

The new Underworld is great! I would love to finally see them. I really regret skipping Virgin Fest 2008. Seeing them under the dance tent would have been fantastic.
Also, RIP Virgin Fest… I went in 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, and 2012 and wish I had not skipped 2008, 2011, and 2013.

2nd the Underworld request. I've seen them twice - Vfest 2008 and at the club 2010 - both were nothing short of amazing.

yet another request for Underworld… their opening set for Radiohead at Liberty State Park almost had them stealing the show.
