That sounds more like a State Theater show.

James at the club in September would be ace… This request comes from on high as Kosmette would be VERY happy to see them live. She's a bit weary from all her UK friends telling her how great they are live….
James!

One of the best live shows I've ever seen.

Please!
I thought you were being sarcastic for a moment so was just about to hunt you down and eat your liver with fava beans and a nice chianti….but nevermind….

Do you have their new ablum yet? "Hey Ma" It's probably only their best to date.
I think Hey Ma is fantastic. If anyone doesn't have it you can get it cheap from cdwow.us Their listed prices are with free shipping.

My only fear is that they will play the states while I'm in Toronto for the Film Festival in September.
I wonder if Tim Booth is still doing that dance were he looks like he's lost control of his motor skills….he might think he's a bit old for that these days.

James are on my list of "best live gigs ever" too… the times I've seen them they've always been brilliant.
I know they're playing VFest, but how about getting Shudder to Think at the club? Seems kinda ridiculous that they're reuniting and don't have a DC date scheduled…
calexico, please!
hey seth, it looks like the damned have some west coast dates booked in october. any chance of seeing em here too? :)
Here are my requests as of late…

The Damned
Face to Face (doing West Coast shows)
Mark Kozelek or Sun Kil Moon
Face to Face would be fantastic indeed.
I can't tell if you guys don't know about this or what.

uh, who is that for? face to face?
Can you book an early show on the night of the Deerhoof gig so that those of us who want to catch both them and The Magnetic Fields can do so? (worth a shot :) )
superchunk, please seth…..i'm beggin'….
i can't believe you'd pick deerhoof over MF. You are officially uncool to me. :) )
I haven't decided yet.

MF are pretty boring on stage. it's sorta cool how they mix up the instrumentation on their songs, and they have some great songs, but otherwise… meh.

i can definitely understand why, in terms of a live experience, one might choose deefhoof.
Ryan Adams is touring in Sept and October. I know he headlined DAR last winter, but he hasn't played Baltimore in a while…

so you'd pick deerhoof over george and ira gershwin? or cole porter?

i have two tickets for magnetic fields but may unload them to see LUIS MIGUEL! there top that!
kosmette is wondering if there is any chance of last minute ticket bargains for the George Michael show tonight. she really enjoyed the show in philly and is tempted to attend again tonight…
there are still lowers available for this show on TM, so i think her chances of picking up cheapies are excellent. CL has plenty of below-face offers. if kosmette doesn't want to deal with CL, i suspect there will be scalpers outside the venue trying to dump tickets just before the show.
OOPS…
James
