Hey Seth

Seth,

Would love to see the Hives play a late show at the club 10/16 since they'll be in town for this Maroon 5 opener business.

IIRC they have 10/15 and 17 open; I would prefer a regular-time show.
Kraftwerk were just added to Vegoose.

If this means a full US tour, they have to be brought back to the club.

And i'd pay $80 to hear them play nothing but pre-Autobahn material. :)

really? interesting - where did you read/hear that? it's not on the festival's website.

thanks! weird, that link (and up two folders) doesn't seem to have any mention of kraftwerk. not that it matters, my decision to attend has already been made and if they're on the bill it'll take a strong conflict to keep me away from finally seeing their show :)
Hmm yeah it was taken out.
I swear it was there last night!

The "lineup" link doesn't list Kraftwerk. They were either booked and cancelled or someone jumped the gun on negotiations and included them on early posters.
Jesus and Mary Chain?

They just announced five west coast dates.

Would be nice….

and have A Place To Bury Strangers open for them and blow them off the stage again like they did for their New York show.
Hey Seth,
How about THE ORANGES BAND opening for Hold Steady/Art Brut?

Calvin Harris
September 12th @ Mercury Lounge

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!

I'm so there.

PLEASE BRING HIM TO DC! SOMEONE! PLEASE!
calvin's album was an integral part of the soundtrack to my hours of driving this weekend - it's damn catchy if "disco meets house on a commodore-64" is your sort of thing… and really, who can turn that stuff down? very danceable, a few tracks remind me of LCD soundsystem (stream the album here). i'm now kinda excited about this show. i imagine that a rather fabulous crowd will be in attendence at the merc - with any luck i'll be there to drag things down.

hey seth: bring calvin.
Any chance we can finally get Manic Street Preachers now that they have released a decent record?

Or PJ Harvey?
Razorlight, 6-8 Nov, or anytime after 17 November. Please.

At the club? That's kinda an over reach, let's crawl before we walk, let alone a full sprint. RnR Hotel, MAYBE BC, but full club action, nah my man…too soon. Remember this is BIZNESS.

What *I* would do, is double bill him with Dizzee Rascal and/or Mark Ronson.

Just saying. That'd be a great show.
