Hey Seth

i just wanna add that Seth is really cool for asking for our opinions/thoughts on the matter.

How about the Chems at Merriweather? (I know, i know, but its not like you have room to breakdance at the 930 club anyway)
So your contact at Astralwerks was wrong.

She knew that they were in discussion and that it was likely that something could be arranged…but that details were being worked out. Was I wrong?
Sure, likely story :D

as much as i'd like to see them…i don't see 1200 people paying $55 for chemical brothers.

and while we have your attention…can you bring back lcd soundsystem to 930? (they're in baltimore nov. 2nd)
I can see people paying $50 (I think Seth said $50-$55)…that is definitely the upper end of the scale that I think most die-hard fans would want to pay. But I still think there are enough people who will pay that much to make it worthwhile for the band and for the club. If it doesn't sell out, it will come very close to it. Seeing the Chemical Brothers at Coachella this year was easily the best thing that whole weekend, and it would be pretty mind blowing to see them back at the 9:30.
i have no interest in the chemical brothers at any price, but i definitely think it's cool that there's this much dialog on things and that our requests are even halfway seriously considered. i definitely appreciate that.

echo & the bunnymen are supposed to be touring in the us in november. any chance of getting them @ 930 (please not a friday night this time as the 01 show was a bit unbearable with all the people that were just there for the social occasion)?
I would like to add that I would pay $50 for Basement Jaxx or Daft Punk ;)
Everyone probably knows that I'd be so friggin' game for Echo…especially if they play "Do It Clean" this time. That has been dropped from the setlist for the past few years sadly. And as long as Ian doesn't pull an HFStival on us. Makes me appreciate all the more that I saw them do such a great show in Philly earlier this year.

Meanwhile I'd LOVE them to be here on a Friday or Saturday…I haven't seen them since a show at Nation several years back. And I want to enjoy, have some cocktails, sing loudly….and yes, we must get "Do It Clean" back on the setlist, dammit!! Actually, a focus on Crocodiles and Porcupine generally would thrill me to no end (The Cutter, Rescue…very important songs!). ;)

I'll second that, especially for Daft Punk.

well they are both playing at my house, and tickets are $4050…

The first $4000 I can see, but that last $50 - robbery!

HOW MUCH WITH TICKETBASTARD CHARGES?!?1
yeah, i agree. $50 for a show is really really too much as a base price. even oakenfold hasn't charged over $40 for his 930 shows. i think the show at nation a few years ago was $25 or $30, but i don't remember exactly.

$50-55 AFTER all the charges/fees would be border-line acceptable; if I had to add another $18-20 to that then there's NPFW; (as in No Possible F**king Way).

Maybe a $60 ticket price will keep the 'Chemical Brothers' from becoming just a social occasion. That is worth the extra cash.

when i was in toronto in 98, i was talking to an usher at the maple leaf gardens while waiting for a show to start and he was talking about how OLP had sold the place out and such and i remember hearing on my way home from blacksburg either right before or right after that trip that OLP were playing some club/bar down there.. pretty big difference in venues..
