Hey Seth

Lightning Bolt are playing at least one date in NY in september.

Bring them down and have them play in the backbar? :)
how about getting a arena metal band like judas priest or heaven and hell playing at the 930 club…could easily go for 60 bucks a ticket.

oh yea and dragonforce, mastodon return and slipknot show would be nice too.

Those bands can play arenas for that kind of ticket price, and sell far more tickets than the 9:30 holds.
Seth, can you please get Cobra Starship to play at 9:30? They sold it out in March with openers that weren't as famous, and they are just playing Sonar for now. I'd love a DC date especially since Sonar is on a Wednesday. Thanks.

Oh yeah, and my obligatory asking for Craig David and Kylie Minogue haha.
so seth what was up with the pricing for george michael??

that was nuts…you could have sold way more tickets if you'd just priced them a bit less…

not my idea
TV On The Radio and Opeth will be in the area in October. Any chance that we could get either of those bands at the club?
Eagles of Death Metal and the Hives? Make them come out East and do a date at 9:30! :)

Myra, I just saw the exact same thing and immediately came here to post. LOL.

God, if this is anything like the drunken mess that was the last Hives show with a few other boardies, I may not make it through the night.
Eagles of Death Metal would be cool.
I think the Frames are coming back to the US…id love to see them

And The National next time they are around
PLEASE bring Eagles of Death Metal!
Hey Seth,

A lot has been said lately with Radiohead's recent tour about the ecological costs associated with major tours, particularly at large venues outside the range of mass transit. Recently, I bought tickets for an event at the Charlottesville Pavilion and after selecting the number of tickets I wanted, it offered me the ability to buy a 40cent CO2 offset credit for each ticket, if I chose. It's not a full-scale answer to the environmental questions being raised, by any means, but even the opponents of the CO2-credit system admit it does afford some help (along side the push for car pooling, etc).

I know VFest and Merriweather both pride themself on their green-ness and trying to preserve the natural environment as much as possible. Would it ever be possible to have a similar opt-in system for CO2 offset credits for IMP shows held away from the 9:30 Club, or does ticketmaster make it impossible? Has there ever been any thought to building in money to the ticket cost (like some places charge a "facility fee" in addition to the ticket, well, in this case, an environmental fee), or is this perhaps already happening?
just listen to the music and be happy. next thing you know you'll want organic soda pop.

i like it
Hey Seth,
The Damned is planning a small US tour in the fall. So far only west coast dates… any chance of getting them to the club? I would love to not have to fly to california!!!!!
please please please!!!!
Hey Seth, thanks for the hooks. They are the nice double ones which will be much nicer in the Winter months. Easy to hold the purse and a coat. We appreciate that probably much more than you'll ever know.
Remember back in the Middle Ages when people would buy Papal indulgences from the Catholic Church to absolve themselves of their alleged sins? CO2 credits are the modern day equivalent.

Repent ye sinners.
Tickets already cost enough, we don't need more hidden charges. If venues offered a shuttle service from other public transit sites, I would opt in to pay for that.
Just Wanted to Say THANK YOU very much for bringing Rock the Bells to Merriweather

It's a week later and I'm still on a high from Tribe's incredible set
