Hey Seth

Just saw something about a bright eyes tour over the next month or 2. 2 nights at the club perhaps? I'd much rather this than 1 night at boomy constitution hall.
Time for my monthly request for a sevendust show! BTW the new CD kicks ass. It will be released March 6th and rocks balls.
i concur!
PLEEEEEASE!!!!
that would be cool…
Hey Seth, how come you don't like Shakespeare? Aint you got any culture?
Hey,the guy is a "Deadwood" fan! Their are more than a few episodes of that show, that are pretty close to "Shakespearean" in dialog as any that have ever been broadcast in television history! He's close enough……
Dispatch is reuniting for a sold out 2 night gig at MSG as a benifit concert. I have heard for some time there may be a reunion tour in the works. If they do, a date a Merriweather would be awesome….
Thanks for bright eyes! And the books (totally didn't see that coming)!

I'd like to add Josh Rouse (some solo shows and opener b/w now and April…) and the Shins once they make their way to this coast. Thanks, Seth!

HOODOO FRIGGIN' GURUS!!!!
the buzzcocks are coming to the US in the spring apparently. i'm keeping my finger crossed for a 930 date…
I'll second the request for Nada Surf. I think they played the Black Cat last April or May…so good :)
I'll third the Nada Surf idea. One of my favorite bands…though unless they have a new album coming out, I would think they might ba better match for the Black Cat.
There's a slighter costlier solution to all these wish lists but perhaps a bit more practical and would at least get you out of DC for a couple of days is attending the second weekend of ATP this year which is essentially curated by us, the fans by voting on our favorites with Barry and Helen going out with bids.

A ton of faves are unavailable (Arcade Fire, PJ Harvey, Shins, and Sonic Youth for example, but others such as Modest Mouse, Sparklehorse, Shellac, The Books, etc have agreed to play).

I too was going to put in a request for Nada Surf. I missed last year's shows & prefer to see them at 9:30…
