Hey Seth

How about more 1980's bands like

Whitesnake
White Lion
Quiet Riot
Dokken
Asia
Survivor
Mr. Mister
OMD

etc,…

;D
In my dreams.
Would prefer this to be at U St. Music Hall, though.
Imagine what they could do with the use of  that sound system.

Weezer is looking into a two night per city tour to play Blue and Pinkerton. This would be very amazing at the 930 Club.

Seconded!

any chance we can get Underworld this year?

ok
That'd be incredible if the club got an Underworld gig. They're producing new material and coming stateside this fall!

Seth said ok. That's Seth forum speak for yes, he got them.
that would make me incredibly giddy. but i'm waiting for an actual date before I flip out in joy.
Checking in again to see if booking Faith No More is a possibility - it would suck for DC to miss out on the reunion shenanigans…
Van Dyke Parks around Moog Fest some time? I have no clue what he draws but it would be swell.
Are Iggy and the Stooges going to announce more dates this year?
Any chance of the Strokes this fall/winter?

I don't want to dash your hopes, but I don't believe they'll be touring until their next album (maybe currently titled "Williamsburg Democracy, Part Deux") is released next year.  I think it's mooted for spring/summer 2011 but you never know.

I think the last two times they played DC, they played the Daughters of the American Revolution Hall.

Brian
My hopes…  :'(  lol

They've done festival dates here and there, so I have this small hope there might be a brief tour before the album is released.  Previewing the songs and such.  Chances are it won't happen, of course, but I have my fingers are crossed.  And if such a mini-tour does happen, I hope they don't skip D.C., Yorke/Massive Attack-style.
hey seth . . . i bet you look great in those jeans.
Amon Tobin?
While we're asking about acts in NYC that we want here…how 'bout the Clean????

How about something local for Elton and Leon?
