Nods in agreement.
I saw them in Chicago for AV Fest two years ago and chatted with Matt Talbot about why these sporadic reunions are always limited to the Midwest and when he was going to come to DC. He said the east coast frightened him, ha. Anyway, they sounded great. If you can catch one of their random reunions, if they ever do anymore, it's defnitely worth it.
So yeah, Seth please. Hum. You can do it.
So, uh, how about MBV? Any venue?
It'd be really cool to see QOTSA, MBV and Phoenix do proper headlining gigs in the DC area. Though I've resigned myself to QOTSA doing a Virgin Freefest slot where we'll get like 75 to 90 minutes as opposed to 120. What can I say? We've gotten spoiled by great concerts in the area so we have high expectations. But Queens haven't been to DC since the time they toured with Nine Inch Nails in 2005. Selfishly, I'd love to see them on their own stage. Thanks Seth ;)
My guess is QOTSA at the Fillmore if they play a club show here.

You're probably right. Weird though, that place seems just about the same size as the Club. If I were booking a band like QOTSA, the 9:30 would seem like the most logical choice.
Fillmore SS holds 2,000
930 is 1200?

How about Merriweather??!!!

Really? I don't think it's that big, is it?

I resent that. ;)
And, c'mon Queens at 930, no other way to be had.

It would be nice to see Savages play the club in September, around the time of their Terminal 5 headlining show (9/12).
Oh, and as always: Laura Marling, please.

Any chance trying to get Godflesh to tack a DC date onto the beginning of their tour?

I'm always in for a Laura Marling show…I think I asked JJ awhile ago for her…I think they got her one time at Hamilton.(?)
^ saw her at 930 last year, 6/12/12
