Hey Seth

Seth, Thanks for the Teenage Fanclub gig !

Now, how about My Morning Jacket, surprise at the club on 10/24 or 10/25 ?
Any chance you can get Interpol for a show sometime this year? Didn't they skip DC entirely in their last tour? I know they played around DC (Baltimore and other places in VA). Just curious. Seems like there's a handful of bands that haven't played here in years…Queens of the Stone Age is another one that comes to mind. And Social Distortion.

Seconded. I don't know whether a full US tour for them is in the works this year, but I would LOVE to see Queens at the Club.
Queens of the Stone Age and/or Sleep get my vote too. Queens hasn't played DC in at least five years. So we're due I say!

Did they tour after the Virgin Fest set?  I thought that was the last time they toured, and dc didnt get a show due to V Fest….

But yes, if Rams Head gets them, 930 should too.
Seth, thank you SO MUCH for Social D. This seriously makes me happier than you could imagine. There's nothing quite like seeing one of my all-time favorite bands at the Club.
Mocheeba - More news on our tour plans
We?ve had lots and lots of queries about our future touring plans. We will be doing a more extensive tour of the UK, Europe, USA and more in the Autumn/Fall of 2010. Full tour dates to be announced over the next few months, so stay tuned and look out for your local listing!

hey seth…
EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTEN

Please!!!

The Berlin band has been an integral part of the international music scene for 30 years.

In 2010 their stage anniversary will be celebrated with a tour through Europe and the United States.

Concerts will be held in selected cities, but also at locations that are significant to the band.

And it’ll be more than just a single concert event during the anniversary tour. The band is planning to make a guest performance on an additional day, presenting the audience with a mixed program of the Einstürzende Neubauten, films, solo shows, guests and friends.

More specifically, the band will play a great concert on the first night, while the second night will be divided into 3-part program.

It’ll begin with films and installations. Afterwards the band will play a further, but much shorter concert in which the Neubauten will present material that has never been played live, hasn’t been played live for a long time, or never in this form.

The evening will be rounded off with shows and performances by the individual Einstürzende Neubauten members, recomposed from city to city:

Blixa Bargeld VOCAL ACROBATICS

Alexander Hacke HITMAN’S HEEL
with Danielle de Picciotto & Chris Hughes (Fatal Shore)

Andrew Unruh BEATING THE DRUM

Jochen Arbeit SOLO ACTIVITIES
mit lokalen Grössen

Rudolf Moser MOSERMEYER

Seth, I don't know if they (or the club) can squeeze a date in, but for what it's worth, I'd like to see Old 97's again at the club. (Or Rhett solo; but the band fills the club w/ folks). Either way here are the current dates: http://www.rhettmiller.com/tour/
thanks :-*

Me too.
You guys do realize that a bunch of those Old 97's shows are free, right? This Sunday in NYC, the Chicago show (I'll be there), Columbia MO, San Francisco, Dallas…

Any for them to hit DC on this tour, it would have to be mid-July. A bit late to ask as this point!

Seth, I will personally pay you 50 American Dollars to get that classic GBV line-up in DC, AND I'll buy my ticket on top of it.  $50!  Come on, you're a business man, aren't you????
The Ticketfly number game says that the Vaselines will be in Philadelphia on 10/3. Please bring them down here?

seems like they'd make an awfully logical opener for teenage fanclub on 10/2…
That would be so amazing.
…or Belle & Sebastian…

Or opening for a classic GBV line-up.  In case Seth didn't see that request earlier ($50 Seth…think about it).

FOW are playing the Birchmere that week.
so the vaselines could open for them, they'd probably do it if they got free food
