I would take either, but Fever Ray is a much better live experience than The Knife.

Is Laura Marling popular enough for 930 yet?
Empire of the Sun is playing Ultra Music Fest. Please bring them to DC while they're here between Ultra and Coachella?

+2 that you would go the fuck away before they get here.
Pogues? Boston March 11-12 2011, NYC March 15-17 . . .
Club show last time was so good I was forced to buy a ticket on the spot for the next night. Guess the Bushmill's might have provided inspiration too.
While I have your attention (right) the barriers in front of the stage suck.

They are playing 3/8-9.
I prefer the new barricades.

is it these barricades in particular you don't like? if so, why not? the staph really seems to like them.
or are you just saying that all barricades suck and you'd prefer that the club not use any, ever?
This is a little far off but
From Current 93's site:
The C93 North American tour, originally scheduled for the first two weeks of March 2011, has been postponed until the Autumn/Fall of 2011.
Another chance to schedule a DC date, perhaps?

I may be on my own on this one, but..
Hey Seth, System of a Down are somewhat back together and doing some European festivals in June (or sometime in the summer). Being that their last two albums were pretty horrible, a club show wouldn't be totally inconceivable (if they do anything stateside).

I meant all barricades, ever, unless used in the process of launching a revolution. One that I agree with. Now that I've searched the site I see barricading has been going on for years; being old enough to have rested my beer on the stage of the old club many a time I probably just hadn't hit shows recently that were thought to be potential trouble. Philosophically speaking, it's rock and roll and barriers have no place in it, but I know liability blah blah blah and it IS his party.
bfactor - the barricades aren't always used. they're removable. plenty of shows at the 930 are barricade-less. i suspect the decision to use them depends on the wishes of the band/their management, the type of crowd, size of crowd, etc.
I believe Sweetcell is right and the bands have a major say as far as whether or not a barricade is used.

last two? all of their albums were horrible, as a whole, where each had two good songs, if that, at best.
no way that first one is amazing the whole way through! Toxicity is hit or miss but good overall. but yeah those last two should have been condensed into one record. I would love to see them at 9:30 (again!) as long as they don't still hate each other.
Nobody seconding my C93 req? Lame.
