OMG, I second this, and will add $50 more. But I doubt they'd do well at 9:30. Especially since they haven't come round these parts in 5 years. No one knows who they are anymore.

Edit:
Idlewild 2010 Tour Dates: ? (Tickets)
November 16 ? Los Angeles @ The Echo
November 17 ? Los Angeles @ The Echo
November 18 ? San Francisco @ The Independent
November 20 ? Seattle @ Crocodile Cafe
November 22 ? New York @ Bowery Ballroom
November 23 ? New York @ Bowery Ballroom
November 24 ? Cambridge @ Middle East Downstairs
November 26 ? Chicago @ Lincoln Hall

That looks like it. May have to have an early thanksgiving break…

LOL
Missed Swell Season due to high ticket cost then selling out & w/B'more being a bit far for my gas budget…Thanks for bringing them back to the general area, though. And, hopefully you can bring them back to the club soon, Seth, thank you. I hear rumors of DC Frames show…(Nov.?) club please? Smooches.
Thanks a ton for Grinderman!
Second the huge thanks for Grinderman!
I'd love to see Versus at the 9:30 again.  They have a new record out tomorrow.
Florence + the Machine seems to be doing a short tour around the U.S. again when she comes for Voodoo Festival. Get her back?  ;D

Also, I know Broken Bells just played the Club as well, but they'll be in NYC 10/11 after Austin City Limits. I missed them last time since it sold out. Pretty please?
any chance to get Shinedown to come back to the club for their acoustic tour? pleaseeee i missed them at carnival and the show back in 08 :(
any chance we can get LCD Soundsystem to do a show at the club? It'd kinda be a pooper if their only show in the area was V-fest.
I might be wrong, but wasnt LCDS last V Fest gig their only area show for that time period?
they did a show at the 9:30 in mid may of that year while the festival was in August.

Seeing as they don't really have to try and upsell FreeFest tickets, I would assume there isn't really a clause that may prohibit LCD SS from doing another show in the area?
I see.  I didnt remember that one.

Maybe we could have M.I.A. and LCD SS play at the club, and it will be the exact line up of a 930 club poster I have on my wall from 04 or 05.

i was thinking that too, but IMP wants freefest to be well attended.

if the LCDSS fans see that they can get a club show instead of going to the festival, all 6 of them might stay home.

It's sold out.  They've got nothing to worry about.

all tickets have been claimed but my point is that doesn't mean everyone will show up at MPP on sept 25.  the fact that it's free means that people can bail without it costing them anything.  if LCDSS is a big draw for you, and you can see them at the club, you might decide skip the festival.  doubtful that one big name on the bill will change your decision to attend, but start offering up a few of them and…

i'm not saying this is the only factor organizers are taking in to consideration, but it is one.  just b/c it's sold out doesn't mean they want to dilute its uniqueness.
Maybe…but since this is (supposedly) their last album/touring, two area shows might be a big draw to super-fans, and nothing that would stop attendance.  Not sure though.
