Hey Seth

I kind of meant both. Thought since we have yet to hear anything from them that they realized that without Braxton, they would be reduced to a generic dime-a-dozen mathrock band and would no longer continue.

The club should get the naming rights for the U street station and hold special busking shows there.
I don't know how it may be possible, but if there's a will…can you please book The Decemberists, please?
Wow so it did happen.

Hey, El Tee. Where ya been?

That would be very nice… Maybe a two date stand?  They are definitely cool to see at a place like MPP, but the time I saw them at Sonar in 05 is definitely the most memorable.

I almost guarantee they will play at Merriweather in May or June. They will announce the 2nd leg of their tour soon and it is a reasonable bet that is where they will play again.
Hey Seth, how about Old 97's sometime between 4/8 and 4/15.

Preferably not 4/14 as I'm tied up that evening.

I've heard at least one interview where they commented on 9:30 Club being a favorite place to play.

Closest they've gotten on this tour was Towson, and that was in December…

April
4/1 ? Madison, WI ? The Barrymore Theatre
4/2 ? Bloomington, IL ? Castle Theater
4/3 ? Indianapolis, IN ? Vogue
4/7 ? Rochester, NY ? Water Street
4/8 ? Boston, MA ? Royale
4/15 ? Knoxville, TN ? Bijou Theater
4/16 ? Birmingham, AL ? Workplay Theatre

how does April 10 work for you
Sounds Great!

Merci beaucoup.

Also remembered my wife is running a marathon in Charlottesville on 4/9. So glad the show is not on that day!
London Suede, Seth? :)
Strong seconding of the London Suede (Suede)! Such an amazing live act.

Also, Big Audio Dynamite would be pretty darn sweet.

Okay, MPP would be grand for IMP/Seth and all of you folks, but being the selfish person I am I prefer 930 please & thanks. (oh and Sara Watkins is performing with them this spring…if you can't get them until after this round of dates, understood…but well…would be a good show for Justin Jones too…didn't he play same night as Sara a year ago?) For some reason there is a blank date on their tour page after the NYC dates…hoping to fill it in w/ DC - 930!

Oh, and I fourth Old 97's (since Rhett & I asked twice, one of my requests, which he scoffed at, ahem;)) It's been too long - thanks!

AZ - what'd I miss?
Death From Above 1979 please :D
Not much, really.

Dear Mr. Hurwitz,

Any chance of coaxing miss Polly Jean Harvey to come down for a DC show after her date in NYC on 4/20?

Also, please see the pleas in the "Just Announced" thread to grab Explosions in the Sky and the Flaming Lips, who both have dates in Richmond.

Thanks.
Yes please to PJ Harvey.

April 14th
San Francisco, The Warfield
www.thewarfieldtheatre.com

April 17th
Coachella, Indio - California

Aprin 20th
Terminal 5 - NYC
3rd to PJ Harvey.  ;D
4th to Polly Jean!
Polly Jean's last show was like 7 years ago, right? I think we're overdue. While you're at it, see if you can throw Queens of the Stone Age on the bill and do a Desert Sessions revisited gig. That would be friggin' unreal.
