As with all things Walkie, there are different levels of crazy, and this was exceptional.  Be home before dark, no walking home alone, all windows and doors locked, AC running at night instead of open windows.  This was little different for my little suburban OC.  I had forgotten all about it, but as soon as I saw his name, it all came back in a flash.

besides me being all shades of crazy time . . . im pretty interested myself.  go post in your vansmack thread, an entire breakdown of what you can remember.  that would be nice.

Never heard of this guy before.  Read his bio and was totally freaked out.  Can't say this guy will be missed. 
I do vaguely remember this guy now.

For some reason, his name is lumped in with the Steven and Cary Stayner stories for me. Though it's not related. Just more California weirdness I guess.
