The Internet tells me he was a big time alcoholic and the liver damage he had after a month of eating McDonald's likely wasn't caused by eating McDonald's. But it made for a fun movie. Also, sexual misconduct, by his own admission.

Rest in peace

Bill was at the San Diego Neil Young show about a month ago…in bad shape apparently…god the end can be brutal…
As Kandinsky was able to express music through painting, Bill Walton expressed music through basketball.  Like synethesia where basketball is a means of musical expression and 5 players interact like a band on the same page. . .like the Grateful Dead (of course)

Injury-wrecked career but he was responsible for artistic peaks of the sport in the early 70s UCLA and 77 Blazers, and then he played a key role on the 86 Celtics.

And his distillation of old school John Wooden through counterculture psychedelic mindset is hugely significant.

Perfect story, perfectly told, with just the right amount of Waltonian details that probably didn’t happen but are better than the reality and 100% did happen in his mind.

Wow a hip hop artist actually died from old age.
Appreciate Yada staying in his lane and not breaking the news…
