This has the CIA written all over it. They're covering up what really happen to keep a dark operation intact. Majid Javadi or one of Nazir's thugs were probably involved.

As someone who is a season behind on Homeland, I'm going to ignore that comment.

Well played.
Does anyone know if the remaining members are spread out throughout all the instruments so the two half-bands can easily form one whole-band at this point or do we just have like 3 bass players and a drummer left between the two with no guitarists or vocalists?

My apologies if asking this is, in some way, considered gauche.
too soon?
Who cares. There are far too many bands in the world anyway. It's not going to kill anybody is there are two less mediocre bands in the world.

Don't dismiss reconfiguring surviving band members to maximize profit.

Who's dead in The Who?  A drummer and a bass player.  Who is still living in the Beatles?  A drummer and bass player.

The Whotles?  The Bho?  OMG!  They would CLEAN UP on the Baby Boomer circuit!  You think tix are expensive for Sting and Paul Simon??!?!?

Pardon me for being concerned about the ability of the survivors to care for their financial well-being going forward.

This is ridiculously plausible when you stop and think about it.
Except when you actually consider Ringo's drumming ability.

Or were you referring to Pete Best?

Right, because Ringo's drumming ability certainly held the Beatles back in terms of making mad cash.
I could have played drums for the Beatles and it wouldn't have changed a thing.  Except for the songs he sang, I guess.  Cause I can't sing.
People hate on Ringo so much.  I think he's horribly underrated.  He wasn't a flashy basher like Moon or Bonham…but his chops were always tasty and totally on point for the song at hand.  Ringo always got the exact right feel for the song.
I love Ringo's drumming… on a lot of stuff he has a really great sound..particularly the later sound.. i'm guessing some will credit George Martin and the recording but I always think its Ringo's doing..

just don't get the criticism for the guy…to me it seems to have become a commonly accepted view that sprung from a joke or something…

I mean when the Beatles decided to upgrade from Pete they went out to get Ringo because they thought he was real good.. .its true he didn't get the sound George Martin wanted on one of the early songs (I thnk)..maybe the whole thing stems from that..

I mean they didn't get him for his looks! they went out and from what i read got the most respected drummer in the Liverpool scene..
