Jon Brookes, drummer with the Charlatans UK. Heck of a nice guy and a terrific drummer. Very sad news.

Second member of that band to die.

Atomicfront? What happened?

I have been making an effort to stick to the music threads only. Did somebody harsh his mellow a bit too hard, finally?
dunno.. I read the forum in WAP mode on my phone, so didn't see the change in status until I got home.  And there was no meltdown in the last thread about the actresses in Girls.

very strange for a guy who was posting all the time.
People were starting to gang up on him…but truth be told he brought it on himself
attacking atomicfront was akin to legit rape  :P
hopefully his employer put a stop to it?
I type this as I'm on VACATION at home…but isn't about 95% of what is posted on here posted on work time anyway?

yes . . . if you want to call it, work.
yes, so what's your point…maybe his employer has an IT dept and saw his posts?
that script worked so well!  :o :o :o :o
maybe he just had a mini meltdown like that time walky did… he'll prob. get his username reinstated at some point or come back as a new poster in the near term. I predict you'll be able to spot him quite easily with his asinine posts.
What about his posts would make an IT department disconnect his account on a message board? Other than  the sheer amount of them (which others of us would be guilty as well)?

It's all a cry for attention. He's reading this post right now.
probably doesn't happen with the Feds, James Ford…but it happens at other companies…at least the ones that I used to work for.

my last employer even had ways to keep track of what you were doing while on a Word document (like creating a resume)…and websites you go to.
well i'd miss atomicfront.. we got off to a rocky start but he kind of grew on me.. he definitely added to the board..

then again i always root for the underdog..
