As confirmed by TMZ, actress Alexis Arquette died this morning while ?surrounded by family and friends? and ?listening to David Bowie?s ?Starman.?? Probably best known for her roles in Pulp Fiction and The Wedding Singer, TMZ adds that she was ?a champion for trans rights.? She had reportedly been ?battling an illness? and was 47.
Prince Buster… man I would have liked to see him.. he was really out of the scene though….

I saw some former big name black ska pioneer guy  live when I lived in London in 1991. Could it have been Prince Buster? I'll never remember…

don't know if anyone got down there, but it's a beautiful theater and facility.
cool art deco, seats donated from the kennedy center.
closed for many years, lots of time & $ to get it back up and running.
played there a few times and the staff could not be friendlier or more accommodating.
bummer for folks in the area wanting a nice night out.
