Not sure how King Khan has a personal story about every musician in the world….

King Khan And The Shrines

I met Françoise Cactus over 20 years ago in her apartment with Brezel and she was always an immaculate queen bee… She made Lil and I make out in their living room/studio and used the audio for one of their songs while she baby sat an 8 week old Saba Lou. Hearing that song still makes me blush. She lived in her own universe and I feel lucky to have been a part of that intricate place. Stereo Total made music like no other, their music meandered around every analog universe and weaved a pastiche of pure pleasure, comedy, decadence and punk power. Her voice was like no other and as soon as it came on you knew it was her. She was a great writer, a beatnik, a surrealist, a crochet master and made me realize what it takes to be a part of the great "otherworldly underground"…. from the moment i met her I knew what true rock n roll royalty she was and she will always be a part of my heart. Rest in Peace and Power.
Motherfucking Prince Markie Dee
Tough week for royalty.

Side note: I swear I'm not a Pitchfork reader. I just heard about this on the radio and googled in and the PF article came up. BigYawn forever.

The saddest is the Sugarland, Texas mom that lost her mother and her three young children…heartbreaking

I'll have to retract my entry into "Who's the first band to return to the Anthem" contest…
so you can watch the 5 min video…but the only thing worth your time starts around 3:30
The timing is extra depressing
