Eleven vocalist Natasha Shneider died today (July 2) of cancer. The age of artist, who was born in Moscow, is unknown.
Shneider, her husband Alain Johannes and Jack Irons formed Eleven in 1990 following the latter's departure from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The rock group released five albums, the best known of which was a 1993 self-titled affair for Hollywood Records.
"Reach Out," the single from the set, became Eleven's only track to dent the Billboard charts, reaching No. 40 on the Mainstream Rock tally.
As the band's recorded output became more sporadic, Shneider and Johannes lent their songwriting and production talents to such projects as No Doubt's "Return of Saturn," Chris Cornell's "Euphoria Morning" and the Josh Homme-led "Desert Sessions." Of late, the pair had recorded and toured with Homme in Queens Of The Stone Age.
A PayPal fund has been set up to defray costs associated with Shneider's medical care.

Over a 70-year medical career, Dr. DeBakey became one of the most influential and innovative heart surgeons in history. He changed the practice of cardiac surgery, performed the first successful heart bypass operaton and is credited with saving thousands of lives.
Fuck Tony Stone.
Glad to see Dr. DeBakey was able to have nice long life filled with invaluable contributions to society.
I like to think of it as Karmic Darwinism.

Popular female DJ K-Swift died this morning (July 21) in a swimming pool accident in her hometown of Baltimore, Maryland AllHipHop.com has learned.
K-Swift, born Khia Edgerton, was just 28-years-old, at the time of her death, although she started DJâ??ing at the age of 11, due to the influence of other pioneering DJâ??s like Cocoa Channel and Jazzy Joyce.
K-Swift broke ground on Baltimoreâ??s Radio One station 92Q Jams, where she rose to Female Mix Show Coordinator and was the only female in the country to hold the title.
She was also a member of the Violator-All Star DJ Coalition, as well as a member of the all female squad the Murda Mamiâ??s.
"I'm at a loss for words right now,â? Murda Mami founder 1st Lady El told AllHipHop.com. â??K-Swift was not only one of my Murda Mami sisters, she was a great friend. She knocked down doors for women in this industry, so humble and hard working. Legendary in the club music scene and the number one DJ in Baltimore. She will be missed."
In addition to being the only female record pool director in Baltimore (Direct Drive Record Pool), K-Swift also owned Club Queen Entertainment, a graphics management and production company.

So I'm flirting with the waitress as we're drinking beers and I failed to notice that a girl I used to date was also there with friends.
