Wow…one of the TC reggae boyz

That sucks

In the early days of Thievery the show would begin with the slower down tempo then the reggae boyz took over …I would be like WTF is this? When did Thievery turn into a Jamaican dancehall act?

Of course as I got older and learned more I realized even the down tempo was Jamaican…just more a different slant of Jamaican..dub

That is like THE singer for Thievery that felt most essential, even more than Sista Pat. Wow.
I am just a sucker for the down tempo with female vocals. If they just did that (like Saudade) I would be happy

Pam Bricker was a huge loss… I saw her at Utopia for years…Lebanese Blonde is great…I have a Mirror Conspiracy LP signed by Pam, Eric and Rob

that transition from dubby intro to two rastas ripping the roof off the place was one of my favorite parts of a TC show.  they got the whole room jumping.  talk about getting the party started.  RIP.

Nice. I just found like four days ago a copy of Richest Man in Babylon, the original 2002 press on 4xLP, at my local used store. Scooped that right up. Really good condition other than the previous owner handwriting the bpms for each track on the back but beggars can’t be choosers since I’ve never seen another 2002-pressing in the wild.
That’s a great pressing and hard to find!

Super heavy set!

Yeah, I've had an eye out for it for probably close to ten years – without it rising to the level of "this is a grail I must own and I'm going to go on discogs and just buy one from across the world" – and this is the first time one has actually crossed my path at any price point.
