Brian Wilson

Thinking about how Daft Punk started as Darlin (Beach Boys song), call out Brian Wilson in Teachers, and quote Brian Wilson in the Homework liner notes (‘I wanted to write joyful music that made other people feel good. Music that helps and heals because I believe music is God’s voice’).

Not the likes of Kraftwerk or Moroder or George Martin, but Brian Wilson.
Lalo Schifrin.

Sad.

Must be one of the three argentines that most distinguished himself musically along with Piazzolla and Argerich.

Americans may not know him by name but he did the music for many American tv shows (Mission impossible, etc) , movies (so so many), and was Dizzy’s musical director/pianist in the 60s. Did so much and with success.

I have one of his CDs autographed somewhere in the pit.
I mean Dirty Harry, Bullit….cool hand Luke, amytville horror, enter the dragon etc etc
