So is Prince Charles automatically King or is he acting King until an investiture ceremony

This has never happened in my life.

he became king the second the queen died.  there will be an official coronation ceremony when the crown is formally put on his head, but all rights and duties of the throne became his the moment his mother died.

sorta like how the president-elect becomes president at noon on Jan 20, regardless of whether the oath of office has been taken yet.
Right o

Good to know

Operation London Bridge we called it.
Marciano Cantero

Singer/bassist from an Argentine band (Enanitos Verdes) that made an impression on me in the late 80s. They toured the US successfully for decades. I think the last place they played around here was Fillmore a couple of months ago. (Actually seems like August 7!)
It may be morbid, pun intended, but I feel bad for anyone famous, who dies within the next week.
People mourn in their own ways….

Don't think it's quite this drastic… they already broke up once while recording an album… based on what Mick said it sounds like a hiatus again…

"of us about to take the stage for the last time for the foreseeable future"

and yes Gaz did say "final reunion" show so who knows

plus Gaz and Danny both have solo albums on the way…  and more Supergrass re-issues in the pipeline

I am Googling that name and all I'm getting is a hockey player. I was just wondering how old he was.

Edit: His name was spelled wrong in your source.

Damn. The guy gives his life for his county, and I can't even fucking spell his name right.  Thanks for the clarity.  I think he was 47
jez, can you imagine being 47 and having to fight for your country and die
not that it's anymore fun if you are young
