Welp there goes my childhood.
I saw him a few years ago here in SF trying new material "off the coke" and he struggled, sweat like a pig and drank water like it was coming out of the faucet.  At the end my buddy leans over says, "I don't think we're going have him here much longer."
He will get all kinds of love despite being an angry ugly person who had, at best, 4 good roles and around a thousand terrible ones. rip dude who made millions reading scripts
Patch Adams marathon at our house tonight.

garp, fisher king, dead poets, Mork, awakening, Good Will, Aladdin, Birdcage and Good Morning, Vietnam
All classics in my mind…
Also some great SNL and late night appearances
Of course there were a ton of horrible ones too, but not a bad run IMHO

do posts like this make you feel good about yourself?
I don't care what you type

yeah, your apathy makes you cool, we get it.
I don't agree with relaxer but I defend to the death his right to say it.
you defend, to the death?  then, die.
in other words, step up to your, plate, of convictions.
My favorite was always Toys. I loved it as a kid and wore out my vhs copy. I also loved The Fisher King, Mrs Doubtfire, Jumanji, Hook, One Hour Photo and probably more. His antics and voices were constantly around me growing up in the 90's. My mom loved Mork & Mindy too and used to quote it a lot haha. R.I.P. Mr. Williams.
I am sorry, julian . . . I was, being stupid. I still think, you are sexy, as all hell.  My phone is not, allowing me, to not capitalize, the first words, of sentences. Stupid, phone.

Sorry, but I recently saw Good Will Hunting again and his performance negates your negative creep drivel. What have you done that's as great as that?

Hey, don't worry about it, man.
I love Dead Poets Society.  That movie changed me.  Loved it and watched it all the time.

So so sad.
If I learned anything this past year, it's this:

"Williams actually died of a disease—a terrible, terrible disease. Depression consumed the man, and it killed him, too, even if it used his hands to do it. I can't help but think: if we as a society talked more frankly and openly and without shame about depression, if we took depression more seriously as a disease rather than as an issue of deficient willpower or character, maybe we wouldn't lose so many irreplaceable people—our heroes, our visionaries, our friends, our family—year after year." - Georgetown Professor, David Ebenbach

i really do hope that we continue talking about mental illness and suicide.  i'm fortunate in that i sought help and have never had issues discussing my depression & anxiety with virtual strangers.  just in the last half a day, i've learned a lot about how i can try to help others dealing with similar issues.
"There is no way Robin Williams could have seen himself the way everyone saw him. What terribly sad and frustrating news."
