DC comics was always so dominant on TV and the Big Screen in the 60-90s
Marvel really had the best characters/story lines/artwork …in the 80s Marvel really came into it's own with artists like Frank Miller and Bill Sienkiewicz
comics really changed from the simple art/story lines (that hadn't changed since the 20s) to deep, artistic and very dark

You should use CGI, less risk than actual fire (esp cuz they're sensitive about fire in CA)
