Bad week for American authors
My neighbors' dog.

I pulled into the driveway a few minutes ago and my neighbor, who honestly I rarely talk to because I'm a quiet introvert, came over to tell me his dog had just died. He was very sad. I tried to say comforting words, but I feel like I should have given him a hug.
Yea I couldn’t do a hug unless I had a few beers in me…
