I bet, those guys above all smoked cigarettes and drank all day long while at work, while constantly sexually harassing women.

Just last week I heard of a 36 year old restaurant manager in dc that killed himself

I dunno, there are good days and bad days for everyone, I would think. And the thought of a good day beats the thought of no days for me. I guess don’t let yourself get trapped in the moment of hopelessness. Change is inevitable, and sometimes that change will be good.

That would make for an interesting study.
Maybe it's the general move away from religion toward secularity? Maybe people need to believe in fairy tales to give them reasons to live?
What is the socioeconomic breakdown of suicide victims? Is this rise that has been noted consistent across social classes?
Is humanity really wealthier and better off? A minority, sure, but maybe that's just a comment made from a DC bubble? Do you mean there are less people struggling just to get by? And even if that's so, does it then just give people more time to ponder their existential angst?

More people are moving to the right of the poverty line, out of extreme poverty.
now hardly wealthy, but getting access to clean water and an education way more than only a century ago
I think his forte are race relations and ecumenism
Given the bad week for drummer, one wonders if this tour will come to an early completion.
