I attended the Memorial for Shawn "Gus" Vitale last night and it was almost two hours of heartfelt tributes to Gus from a number a the production crew members many of which Gus mentored.  There was also family, longtime friends, a couple of local musicians, and representation from Positive Force, DCSpaces and Fort Reno.  Universally hailed as a really open and friendly person, great to work with and just a true professional who strived to make all bands and artists sound their best.  Also, a really great sense of humor.  He will be missed by many and was taken far to young.  His legacy will last for many years.  Really glad I had to chance to hear so many wonderful stories about him.
