Confirmed: Coach Brad McCrimmon, forward Pavol Demitra, forward Josef Vasicek, defenseman Karel Rachunek, forward Jan Marek and forward Alexander Vasyunov

I have not heard confirmation on Ruslan Salei.

Sadly, I can add defenseman Ruslan Salei and goaltending prospect Stefan Liv among the confirmed dead.

You can (rightly so) mock the "Kennedys of Delaware" but, like 13 years ago, it was HUGE.  The deputy attorney general killing the governor's scheduling secretary.  I highly recommend the A&E "City Confidential" episode about it.

How could y'all miss Walter Mondale and Ted Kennedy's 51 year old daughters dying on the same day?

Also, Wilma Lee Cooper.
you forgot rio . . . the salahi's adorable doberman.  how could you?!

i saw him a few times at my local vet when they would bring him in . . . get ready, in a stretched limo.  only the best for that pooch.  so cute and well behaved for such a big doggie.  how sad.
REM has been dead since 1988.

I went to see "The Baseball Project" in Harrisburg at a Senators game on Labor Day (Alas, no Bryce Harper.).  It was very enjoyable because…Steve Wynn!  Up close!  At a baseball game!  But actually Peter Buck dropped out the last few weeks of their tour because of "back problems."  I wondering now if it was something else.  I thought they were recording a new album?  R.E.M., I mean.

Got one last night.

Glad I got to see him open for Neil.
Very sad about Bert Jansch.
