Tyler Skaggs, Major league baseball pitcher for the Angels. He was 27.
Dropping Like Flies
Definitely one of my favorite musicians …few if any I have listened to more over past 20 years
Sad but I understand he was in ill health for a long time
We traveled up to see him at Carnegie Hall June 18, 2004…one of my most treasured concerts
Curiously enough almost if not every obit is using a picture from that very show.

Ross Perot
I've had this irrational fear the last few days that Paul McCartney is not long for this world. It is an uncomfortable feeling.
Not that I'm glad its anyone else, but I'm glad its not Sir Paul.

“Texas born. Texas bred. When I die, I’ll be Texas dead. Ha!” (last line of his last interview)
Democrats should be very thankful for Perot, as I don't think Clinton would have been elected without him
although…there is “The Perot Myth”...so I've yet to dive deep into that to conclude that he wasn't a spoiler
Still will go down as the most impressive attempt of a 3rd party candidate …19% of the popular vote!
Maybe Weld can learn a lot from Perot's campaign
My first vote for US President

I've seen a few Dem's I know post how they voted for Ross…
I'm actually kind of surprised, but he was Trump…with out all the insults and baggage
and obviously level headed
but he was no liberal, so not sure what the appeal was
I do think he was way ahead of his time on the enactment of electronic direct democracy.
and the 3rd party insurgency really looked like 3rd parties might have a role in future elections
but he sounds pretty conservative to me
Perot was not Trump at all…I need more free time to respond to all the idiocy on this board

of course not
I meant more to the voter….outsider, no political experience, business leader, trying to dismantle the corrupt 2 party system
now we also know that Trump is no conservative, but the people who voted for him think he is
How many womyn or people of color were on his staff?

that kind of relativism is a slippery slope. we've sunk other people's lives for bad choices made a long time ago, don't see why perot gets a pass. JUSTICE NOW.
What staff? It was pretty much Perot
As I recall the Draft Perot movement morphed into his ground game but paid staff was probably very few people. There was that bozo Rollins but I think he got shitcanned
Clinton was not an option. I could tell he was a sleaze and liar. I did not realize how much but I knew. Just the same vibe I got from John Edwards.
And since I really liked Perot’s message on the need to curb spending so I was happy to vote for him. Ultimately his message, for a time, won out when Republicans destroyed Clinton in 1994 and he was forced to play ball. To that I think we owe our last burst of prosperity

Henry rollins worked in the Perot campaign!
