as of 5:45 pm EST, i'm reading that the reports of petty's death have been retracted.  he's in hospital, possibly following a heart attack.  condition unknown.

at a restaurant, this evening . . . the sonos system they had kept playing a lot of his songs, as if the future ghost of petty was controlling the music.  he's now learning to fly, and he got those wings.

they even played, some traveling wilburys songs, and gosh darn it, I loved that band.

Petty also hates Echo which is a really important album in my life.


Of course after the interview we learned  he had a major issue with heroin…

Rather sad that there's a reason to post this on here for the second straight year, but even if there weren't, watching this would never get old. Nice to read about it from the Petty perspective.
