Dropping Like Flies
Thanks, but my birthday is May 7, the day the guy was born, not March 18, his death date.

Ex-Crowded House drummer's suicide
MELBOURNE, Australia (Reuters) – Drummer Paul Hester from the New Zealand bands Split Enz and Crowded House has been found dead in a park in the southern Australian city of Melbourne, apparently after committing suicide, a fan Web site says.
Australian police on Monday confirmed the body of a man in his 40s was found in Elsternwick Park near Hester's Melbourne home. Police said the death was not suspicious, but they would not release the man's name.
"I am devastated. I have lost one of my best mates," former Crowded House singer Neil Finn told Sydney's The Daily Telegraph newspaper.
Hester, 46, failed to return home from walking his two dogs on Saturday night, said the newspaper on Monday.
The Web site, frenz.com, said "…Paul Hester of Split Enz, Crowded House, Largest Living Things, and many other great projects, has taken his own life."
"It is not a hoax or a rumor. At this point, it has been confirmed though we have no other details at this time."
Hester played in several Melbourne bands before joining New Zealand band Split Enz in 1983.
He and Neil Finn formed Crowded House with bassist Nick Seymour in 1985. Hester quit Crowded House in 1994.
Finn, along with brother Tim, is on tour in Britain.
"I was a big fan and liked him enormously," Australian entertainment reporter Richard Wilkins, who worked with Hester during his Crowded House days, said.
"He was really well respected. He was a great drummer and a great singer and a great band member," Wilkins said.

Sorry if this is a repeat as I haven't been here since Sunday night. It's not in this thread yet which surprised me.

He wasn't drinking his cranberry juice. Too busy listening to God, probably.
Don't count the pope out until you see the box go into the hole.

Because of people like Frank, many places on the shore smell a lot like the downwind side of a chicken rendering plant.
I briefly worked at a chicken slaughterhouse. It's hard work.

News Flash: Bob Marley Still Dead
story
BBC asks long-dead Bob Marley for interview
LONDON (AFP) - A red-faced BBC apologised for requesting an interview with Bob Marley, the Jamaican reggae legend who died 24 years ago.
BBC Three, one of the public broadcaster's digital TV channels, sent an e-mail to the Bob Marley Foundation saying it wanted to do a documentary about his hit song "No Woman No Cry".
It said the project would involve Marley – who died of cancer in May 1981 at the age of 36 – "spending one or two days with us", and that "it would only work with some participation from Bob Marley himself".
In a statement, the BBC said: "We are obviously very embarrassed that we didn't realise that the letter to the Marley Foundation did not acknowledge that Mr Marley is no longer with us."
Marley would have been 60 last February 6, a date that was celebrated with great fanfare by his legion of fans worldwide.
A BBC press officer, contacted by AFP in London on Friday, confirmed that the gaffe was not an April Fool's joke.

as of 1.46pm yahoo is reporting the pope has died
Is that a cue for some priest jokes? ,I hear your voice go, "if you must" Oh OK then since you insist:
A priest in a confessional REALLY has to go to the bathroom and recruits a janitor nearby to sit in for him for a few minutes while he runs to the toilet…
Relunctant, the janitor steps in… views the chart of penance, and the first confession starts.
"Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned…. I lied to my mother."
using the chart, the janitor fogives the sin and applies the appropriate penance.
Second person comes in… "Forgive me father, I cheated on my husband."
Same thing.. he gives the chart's penance… and prays it's the last time.. hoping for the return of the priest.
The third patron comes in: "Forgive me father, for I have sinned… I was screwing my wife and hit the wrong hole."
The janitor freezes… not knowing what to say. He can't find the sin on the chart… but he does hear alterboys practicing for mass.. and figures they can help.
He ran to the alter and said "Quick.. alterboys… do you know what father gives for sodomy?"
Together in stereo.. the boys say "Usually milk and cookies!"
