that mis-reporting by WeLoveDC and Borderstan on the "Black Cat Bill" story is some of the crappiest reporting I've ever seen.  People love to bash the "lamestream media" but at least the pretense of fact checking is still there.    They should be lucky the dood is homeless, because someone of means would be seeking a settlement.

That's what William "Willy" Turner told me yesterday afternoon when I visited him at the Deanwood Rehabilitation and Wellness Center on Nannie Hellen Burroughs Avenue NE


Dood isn't homeless…somebody is paying for his bed there.

Actually, the article said he's lost weight. So more like living smaller.

Strange that when the dude is supposedly dead everyone cries and says lets have a fundraiser. 

Now he is alive, apparently wasting away in what I'll assume is not the nicest institution of its type and all the poor guy wants is a boombox and some James Brown cd's. 

Isn't now the time for the fundraiser?

One suspects that the fundraiser would've been more about the people and blogs putting it on, rather than person it was purportedly for.    That's harder to do when the guy's still alive.
