Robert Steinhardt, Kansas frontman and violinist, dies at 71
He was also in Cinderella at one point…

Oh man! This brings back memories of their show at DAR on their Power tour. I won tickets from a local AOR station, and my seats were on the stage. We had backstage passes, and were given Power flashlights and a cue to be part of the light show. The internet claims that Night Ranger opened the show, but I have no recollection of that.

I'm no Kansas historian, but I did look this up. He was the violinist from 1976-1982, then again from 1997-2006.

Steve Walsh was the lead singer from 1967-2014, when he retired and was replaced by some other dude.

No disrespect meant to the dead guy, but I'd argue Steve Walsh was the frontman,

His lead vocals provided a contrast to the high tenor of singer Steve Walsh. The two often sang in harmony, with Steinhardt taking the lower voice

Yes, I, too, can copy and paste Wikipedia.

Correction, Walsh was the singer starting in 1976, not 1967. Did they play a holograph of Stenhardt during the 23 years Walsh was singing and Steinhardt was MIA?
I'm really beginning to think the board needs a Kansas historian.
Kansas…one of the few bands- along with Styx- that when I hear them I want to blow my brains out…
Wasn't Walsh the guy who wore knee-high socks on stage?

It's almost embarrassing that I would remember that.
