Dropping Like Flies

Ram Dass is a far worse name, and predicament, than Dick Army. (I know that's not really how you pronounce it.)

Thanks. I forgot his name and was too lazy to Google, so went with the first thing that popped into my head.
And people call me lazy for not posting links to the deceased’s bio….

Song writer Allee Willis

Broadway composer Jerry Herman

Classical and opera tenor Peter Schreier

also lost Jack Sheldon, Schoolhouse Rock! singer and jazz musician on 12/27

I grew up listening to Don Imus in NY (before radio was political)
he annoyed me since the late 80s

I will never forget his character The Right Rev. Billy Sol Hargis  and his theme song
"I don't care if it rains or freezes
Long as I got my plastic Jesus
Sittin' on the dashboard of my car.
I can go a hundred miles an hour
Long as I got the Almighty's power
Glued up there with my pair of fuzzy dice.

suicide

between this and the opioid epidemic…crazy how many people we are senselessly losing in the most prosperous country in the world
Suicide is just the worst as the people left in it's wake are just destroyed and sometimes never recover
There is an emptiness to modern life…no longer do people struggle to make sense of our purpose..to wonder what we are here for…now it seems our purpose is merely to have fun…and to make as much money as possible in order to pay for that fun..I think there is a hollowness to life for many and it’s related to all these suicides by people we think made it

Do modern day Ben’s exist? The Razor’s Edge seems archaic…Seems like most of us just want to have fun and don’t really care

The ugly Betty idea wasn’t it taken from a Colombian soap?
