rumor mill working overtime on this one.  i'm seeing reports that:
- plane was shot down by air defense (could provide for convenient excuses: "we thought it was a uke drone", "a minion pressed the wrong button", etc.),  video shows white puffs in the sky around the plane, and witnesses on the ground have apparently stated that they heard two pops prior to see the plane fall - all consistent with AA.

it's the straight drop plus the fact that the plane was clearly on fire that make me believe it was air defense or a bomb onboard.

disagree.  some people will want the truth to be known (ex: prigo's supporters, wagner-sympathetic FSB and GRU officers, etc), so i wouldn't say there is no chance we'll find out.

Aren't these horses worth more dead than alive, from an insurance payout?
it would seem to be a common way to 'thin the heard' of some of your not-top performers
