How was Temper Trap / Florence and then Ted Leo last week, anyone?

xnever - you in town?
Thursday: Phoenix on MTV Unplugged
Speaking of thursday:
Untied States at Paper Sun->Mi Ami at Velvet

Come to think of it, Untied States>Owen Pallett>Mi Ami might be doable.
last night: faith no more @ warfield (great show)
tonight: FNM again, maybe… it's around the corner from my hotel.
wed: muse & sspu @ oracle arena
next tuesday: ott @ heaven & hell
This next week is all kinds of epic:

Wed. - Drive By Truckers in Towson, MD.
Thurs. - Pavement in Pomona, CA
Fri. - Coachella
Sat. - Coachella
Sun. - Coachella
Tues. - Mastodon/Baroness in Baltimore
It's not every day you see a dreadlocked old man, a pimp, and a guy with a mohawk in diapers on the stage of the 930 Club:

too bad the de facto headliner had to pull out.  bummer.
While I very much like Mastodon and Baroness, the no-brainer 4/20 Baltimore metal show of choice should be Ludicra/Krallice/Tombs, IMO.
I thought Ted Leo was good - I like the new album and the songs came over nicely live

You have a good point, but this is probably the last time to see Mastodon perform Crack the Skye in its entirety, and I missed the two other chances to catch that when it was here.

I like that I'll be seeing Baroness on the west coast on Friday and then on east coast just 4 days later.
well rams head live stinks as a venue, too.

For the record, I didnt think for one second that The Director was ever going to join us.

Ahh ok. I caught Crack the Sky in its entirety at the club last spring. Had no idea they were even still doing that. It's almost been a year.

no one heading out to liars?
Joe is.

I'll see them again when they play a room in DC that doesn't have a PA that sounds  like a poorly encoded mp3. That 930 show was a lot of fun. Too bad there were less than 100 people there.

I've only seen liars once, when they opened for radiohead in camden in 2008, and frankly they blew chunks. Would have left if I could, but didn't want to lose my spot so I had to endure. Hopefully they've gotten better. Or maybe I caught them on one of their bad nights.
How is the new album?  I don't think I've heard a single thing from it.

that's a shame. the three times i've seen them i was more then impressed, especially during their 2006(?) set at the blackcat which blew me away. their sound doesn't necessarily lend well to big pavilions but they still managed to grab the audiences attention at nissan and imo, they were great but to each his own.  i'm still bummed out i missed their last show at the 9:30 club due to the ice storm. i only could imagine how they would've sounded on that stage :(

and i decided not to go tonight due to rnrh shitty pa.
