First two tracks off that new Black Angels do little for me. I feel like it really is diminishing returns with that band both on record and live.
This week rollcall
So Best Coast Show was last night. They played 40 minutes set and didn't do an encore. Perhaps this is why they didn't sell-out the Ottobar until the day of the show. I guess next time through they will be playing a smaller venue.

They didn't play for an hour. They started at 10:40 and ended at 11:23. That is not an hour.
You went to this over Aidan Baker? You really are a worthless piece of shit.

That's 40 minutes to an hour of your life that is gone forever. You should've seen the locals then left went to Baker.
You suck at time management.

A nice write up on this weekend's Baltimore Popfest

You guys, you really don't want to skip Chelsea Light Moving if this recording I'm listening to from last month is any indication. Show of the year potential here.
Maybe. I do want to. It depends on my schedule, ill let you know…
I do like the Chelsea Light Moving album but will most likely miss the show. I might try for Redd Kross Friday.
I think I'm definitely hitting Ottobar on Sunday. They got two rad shows in one night! Kowloon Walled City with Zozobra, Ancient Shores & Passage Between downstairs for 10 bucks and a free show upstairs with The People's Temple, Lazlo Lee & The Motherless Children, Creepoid & Other Colors. Other than Lazlo Lee I have not seen any of those bands and think I am in for a treat.

Taking my kid to see them tonight. He wants to stay for the closing band as well.
Zozobra includes two members of Old Man Gloom? might have to go! Old Man Gloom were rad last year at ottobar.
Not familiar with Kowloon Walled City.

I'm at Legoland. Shit is bananas.
ok, conversation here and elsewhere has convinced me to try to make the Chelsea Light Moving show tonight (despite my having a lukewarm reaction to the album). I'll see many of you folks there, I'm sure.
Creepoid and Other Colors are both enjoyable enough.
Az here is the schedule for Popfest. I think we should be able to catch most of it.
3:30 Esmond
4:00 Foul Swoops
5:00 Crimson Wave
6:00 What Next?
7:00 Pet Milk
8:00 Kip
9:00 Wildhoney
10:00 Jowe Head
11:00 Golden Grrrls
12:00 Sea Lions

So that Chelsea Light gig was rather swell.
Janel & Anthony at Millennium Stage is looking like the better choice over anything late tonight if I plan on staying awake through Popfest tomorrow. Way too much time between the two to do both that and the Slumberland show.
