Went to Deer Tick last night.  Hated them beyond belief.  One nice thing about being single is you only have to go see bands you like.  Same thing with friends. If you didn't have any you could do more things you want to do.   Why are the those loners always going on killing sprees?  They can do whatever they want they should be happy.

I'm assuming your wife isn't on the 930 forum  ::)

or atomic forgot which account he was posting under at this time.
I didn't think he was implying that he IS single, but that being single is nice in regards to concert going.  I would assume he posted that because his wife was the one who wanted to go to the show he hated so much.  I could be wrong, but that is what i took away from the post.

That is what I meant.
My husband and I learned a looooooong time ago that we go to the shows we want and don't drag each other to shows the other person doesn't want to go to.

That would mean we would be apart. We wouldn't like that.

saw Pet Shop Boys over at Strathmore - wow!  what a show - there were enough lasers to slice the ceiling - damn impressive.  But very odd they didn't play the most touted/acclaimed song off of the new album: "Love is A Bourgeois Construct"

off to Travis tomorrow night

Saturday: Life in Color dance thang.
Caps/Hawks tonight
Montgomery Gentry concert after the Nats game tomorrow
Isn't that Death in June show this weekend?
Is anybody going?
I almost forgot about it.
When you find yourself quoting Sting, it's time to give it a rethink, eh?

I was probably going to skip it.  Did you want to go?
I was thinking about it. But if you were planning to skip it, it's cool. It is a bit pricy.
It is.  I went back and listened to them, and out of that lineup I actually prefer Cult of Youth.  I can see CoY a lot more often and for less money. Plus I might go out tonight, and definitely will be out all day tomorrow, so I might not do anything on Sunday.  Also, Mudhoney is Monday!!!
Shit, thanks for that reminder!
I somehow got a free ticket to Death in June so guess I will be there in a few hours.
That $25 Mudhoney price tag is too rich for my blood.

Maybe Calvin Johnson in Frederick Wednesday
Whorepaint/Trophy Wife/Priests/Big Mouth Thursday
Legendary Pink Dots Saturday
Superchunk/Spider Bags Sunday
Okkervil Monday
Superchunk NY Saturday
Superchunk DC Sunday
And so will end a busy month of show going.
2 Fests (Riot and Free)
3 930 shows: Tommy Keene, Okkervil, Superchunk
1 Black Cat: Ted Leo part of the 20th Anniversary show
1 Ottobar: Deer Tick
1 Bowery: Superchunk
18 bands (or so)
;D
