yea, I'll be there.  I be on the lookout for a hippy with a t shirt with a cat on the front and jerry garcia on the back  ;D
trashcan sinatras @ RNR tomorrow
Screen Vinyl Image, Ceremony, and Soundpool at U St on Thursday.
Considering Blitzen Trapper tomorrow but I'll probably leave underwhelmed again if I go.
Pantha Du Prince Tuesday and maybe Dead Meadow prior depending on what time PDP goes on.
Isis/Melvins Wednesday
Screen Vinyl Image/Ceremony/Soundpool Thursday
Thinking about Eddy Current Suppression Ring/Pissed Jeans/Home Blitz in NYC (Cake Shop) Friday.
Outer Body Llama at Chief Ike's Wed

Could be the last show for a while as one of the bandmembers is expecting soon so don't sleep.

I wish sooo much that this show was on either Friday or Saturday. As it is, it's just impossible for me to make it down on Thursday night (sigh). All 3 bands are completely on my radar (and my station) and worth catching. Suspect this one is going to do well as it seems there's more interest brewing here. Hope the scenesters appreciate them and shut the fuck up while each band are on stage.  ;)
The scenesters couldn't possibly talk louder than any of the bands' volume.

It is an early show if that helps, Jaguar. Should be over by 9:30 at the latest, I imagine.

Oh, I wouldn't want to put that as a challange to them! Besides, Soundpool isn't quite as noisey as Ceremony and SVI. It would be easy for them to ruin yet another good thing.

Too early, in fact! Have obligations during the day and then trying to fight rush hour traffic and commuting from another city just makes it too crazy. Would also mean no quick dinner either. And then there's still dealing with feeling like crap in the wee hours of the next morning. I hate early shows so much more than late ones! Not only are they buzz kills but always much, much harder for me to work into my schedules.
Any body know if the openers for the Pains are worth catching at BC wednesday?
nkotb can answer this……he is seeing that pitchfork band, Surfer Blood……

Not sure…both bands on album are kind of just OK, but since I had other friends interested (and my wife OK'd the time out  ;D) I kind of jumped on the chance to see the show.  No clue how either are live.

Never seen either live, but Surfer Blood's record is OK.  All the reverby everything gets a little tired though.  Seen live video and they sounded pretty good.  If I was going I'd try to catch them.

Aww too bad.  Maybe next time
Tonight Warpaint @ Mercury Lounge
I have tix to Pains of Being Pure at Heart…was thinking of selling 'em, but will try to go by just for headliner.

So Black Cat – 8:00 doors, 3 bands.  Headliner on about 10?
