This week rollcall

chutney, now that was a surprise selection for a cover song-waterboy's the fisherman! one of my favorite waterboys song.

fun and strong show, as usual. don't think he's capable of a bad show.

we really should meet at some point!

Tonight: amos lee @ the national, unexpectedly… Anyone else, per chance?

I worked the show. Sorry if it was noisy where you were, the audience was a bit too chatty :(

seriously.  security came over to my section of the balcony to settle a squabble between one group of patrons trying to enjoy the show, and the ones behind them who wouldn't shut the f*ck up.  it really was a chatty crowd, constant buzz of talk throughout the night.  sorry we didn't a chance to meet up - hopefully next time.

i was relly impressed by the national.  beautiful room, great service, nice beer selection (loved the magic hat vinyl)… i liked.  made up for an average show and below-average crowd. ;D
OFWGKTA at Sonar Thursday
Diane Cluck, Susan Alcorn & Janel Leppin, Macaw, John Berndt, Cigarette at Million Man Tyre (no clue what this is) Friday
Jooklo Duo at Comet Friday if time permits
Either Les Rhinoceros at The Cherch or a thing at Paper Sun Saturday

For a variety of reasons, I haven't listened to Goblin much but I'm still looking forward to this. Can't say the U St show in Feb was tremendous but it was entertaining and I've only gotten more familiar with their stuff since then
I missed that one since I have a family that I love and cherish and would rather spend Valentine's Day with my wife than a bunch of hyped skate-rat horrorcore rappers, but if that's your thing then cool!

But yeah, I haven't listened to Goblin at all yet, beyond Sandwitches.

Make sure you are one of the many who stage dives into the crowd  ;D
I'm guessing nkotb's wife has started reading the board.

Social D @ at The Nat'l tonight. If anyone going sees the curly haired staph member, be sure to say hello.
Earl and Blackenedwhite are the most consistent records of theirs I've heard  thus far. Goblin has quite a few highs but its lulls detract a great deal from it.
Even Bastard is much easier to listen to in one sitting.

Was thinking of going to Asobi Seksu but looking at set times it looks like Asobi will play for 30 minutes….awww…pass.

9pm Sun Airway
9:45pm Asobi Seksu
10:45pm White Lies

Jason Isbell…so very good!
Chili Cookoff was awesome today! I thought Neon Trees, Panic, and Weezer were all amazing.

Heading to Soundbites tomorrow. Looking forward to Trouble Funk and The Pietasters.
