This week rollcall

There are drag shows all the time in DC and Baltimore.  Not all of them feature people from RuPaul's Drag Race, but sometimes they do shows in the area (I skipped going to see Jinx and others last year).  Now if you meant that it is rare for that show to be at 930 Club, I do agree with that.  But just being a rare thing in this area, not really.
yes . . . i did mean at the club.
It sold out, so I doubt it is a one time thing.
it sold out, the day of . . . think again.
I don't get your logic. Sold out is sold out.  Last year's trio of Animal Collective shows sold out extremely fast.  However, the December Animal Collective show took months to sell out.  The end result?  All shows were sold out and money was made.  You don't think the fact that this sold out will cause Seth to book Drag Race again?
i dont respect shows that sell out the day of . . . but im odd.
That is odd. Anyways, I would be surprised if this is the last 930/Drag Race event.
Wow, I just went back and read this entire thread.

416 pages of people telling strangers what shows they are going to. Scintillating reading! I hope nobody ever proposes to delete this thread!

*rubs chin*
Saw Broncho at the Black Cat last night. I could definitely hear some Replacements and some Wire in their stuff. They still sound a lot like a garage rock band, but they're more polished than I thought they'd be. Pretty odd style and way too tight jeans, but they own it. I'd say they're my favorite new band, if they come back through town again they're definitely worth seeing.
I ended up skipping the Post Typography and Ilsa shows this week.  I am thinking about hitting up Atlas Sunday to catch Oneohtrix Point Never.

The end of the next week is pretty busy for me.
Thursday - the Gene Clark show over at Floristree
Friday - Pixies at Electric Factory
Saturday  - Weekends/Small Apartments/Wing Dam/Goblin Mold at the Ottobar

Edit (damn i already skipped two of these… OPN and the Gene Clark one)

The other two I am definitely doing… Pixies in like 8 hours!

Spirit Family Reunion - treehouse (VFW Takoma pk)

Pixies kicked ass in Philly Friday.  I didnt want to go to the DC show because the venue didnt seem very rock and roll (it would have been nice to have a chair to put my coat on).

See you at NMH and at Sebadoh.

My week:
Weds - Cults/Wildhoney/"guest" (I think it is supposed to be Dead Mellotron!) at the Ottobar
Fri - Neutral Milk Hotel/Elf Power at DAR
Sat - Mt Royal/Raindeer at Ottobar (that is only if my non-music related plans do not happen, but they probably will so I guess I will have to skip it…)
