Tonight: The Pietasters, free show with my daughter….we're bringing our own pie. Should I bust out the DC Brau t-shirt?
Saturday: Gary Louris (Jayhawks) at Jammin Java. Tossing away my B52's tickets so i can see this one instead.

Frank Turner is playing in my office tomorrow and the National are doing a stripped-down set on Friday. Should be neat. Saw Guards yesterday and they were kinda boring.

Too bad I was too sick to go to the Bats, it sounds like to was really good.
Saw Avey Tare's Slasher Flicks debut show at Metro Gallery on Thursday. I liked the music, it was really psychedelic and a great supergroup (Animal Collective, Dirty Projectors, Ponytail). Celebration and Janka/the Bubu Gang was a lot of fun, lots of dancing.
Did anyone else know Thrushes played Club K tonight? I would of definitely went. I don't think they have played in years.

I went to Father John Misty last night. He put on a good show. He is quite the charismic peformer which I was not expecting.
