Excited for Noun tomorrow. Still wondering why Marissa Paternoster's genius is not as celebrated as widely as it should be.
Book of Mormon tomorrow.

That sounds like fun.  Have you gone before?

The early evening/late afternoon thing, yeah.
Too bad that wasn't on Sunday, I might be in dc to go to the zoo in the afternoon.

As in Georgetown video dance club?
The Killers are an awful live band.  Boring and not very good musically.  Brandon Flowers cannot sing and is a little tiny dude.  Besides that not bad.  Had a good pre-game in the parking lot.  Should have stayed in the parking lot.  Second time I have seen them right up front.  I guess I should give up on them. Last two albums have not been very good.
I saw them on tour for the second album and that was enough Killers for me. Sorry to hear it was just ok.
Hunx was fun and hella fabulous.
Chain and the Gang were a good time, as always.
Hunters were a little SY worshippy but did it well enough.
Noun was fantastic.
Modern Hut was really good, too. Marissa P played on both sets.

Speedy Ortiz/Soccer Team/Two Inch Astronaut tonight.
Possibly Jeff Lewis Tuesday.
Crimson Wave/Wildhoney/Carni Klirs Thursday.
Valerie Paschall's Black Cat Standup thing Friday.
Select DC/Ruth's Pie House show Saturday.
azag, do you go to all these things because

a, you have no life

b, you work for something that requires you to go to all these shows

c, you are not from the planet earth and you have been studying life in dc, for years

Really?  I didnt get that vibe from what I remember of their set opening up for A Place to Bury Strangers… I never went back and listened to any of their records though, so maybe i should.

Tonight - Maybe Whirr/Nothing
Tomorrow - Definitely Speedy Ortiz/Roomrunner/Hive Bent/Bleeding Rainbow!

After that… Nothing until 8/22 for Technicolor Teeth at CD Cellar (going on vacation for a while).

How is going out to see bands (and friends), having no life?  Sitting at home every night would be having no life.
your perceptions of life . . . are interesting.  but that is what makes perceptions, so fascinating.
So what would you consider having a life? Having fun? Socializing? Pursuing ones interests?

To me it would appear he does in fact have a life.  i am not sure why you would want to insult his pursuit of happiness. Maybe you are just joking around.

i do a lot of things, but i tend to do one of those things in moderation at all times, so they do not get boring and stale, especially concerts.  but that is just me, and yes, i was, just joing around with azag.  i heart him to pieces.

I could have told you that before the show and saved you some money!
