Whitney
Massive attack  (no opener? so they will go on at 8 sharp)
Sterolab
All back to back…going to have to do double honey-do lists this weekend
Yep. I'm doing the Sterolab/Massive Attck double, but its birthday week so I should get a pass, right?

Enjoy that Boy Harsher show. I'm pissed that they switched their tour stop from DC to Baltimore but what can you do, right?
^^ Lucinda Williams too on Tuesday.  Massive Attack's setlist is a little odd….

Did we all marry partners who question why we would want to go to shows at our advanced ages instead of spending time with them?
I'd hit this show, if it wasn't the wharf on a Friday night:

The Long Ryders
Friday, September 20, 2019
Pearl Street Warehouse

loved those paisley underground days

I have always had a show buddy since my partner and I got together because he doesn't want to go to as many shows as I do. But, he has always been supportive of me going to them.

Almost got a Stereolab ticket, but am already going to Adam Ant and Lizzo, and just can't do three in one week.
If anything, my wife wants to go to more concerts than I do.

mine doesn't lament me not spending time with her (goes to bed around 9pm)
more that 'I should grow up, what adult in their late 40s with kids goes to more than 2 or 3 shows A YEAR'
um, I know a guy with two thumbs who begs to differ…but sept/october is always a bitch, no matter how many times I state that this is when a lot of shows happen around the same time
Always forgets that from May to Aug, I catch only 3 or 4 shows
I generally have a rule that I won't leave for a show until after the kids are ready for bed (there are exceptions here and there), so usually it's not a big deal.  But I have caught some daggers if he's too many in a row or week, but mostly because most of our time to hang out together are after the kids are in their rooms.  For the most part, though, she's a saint with it.

Young kids are tough. I basically didn’t go to any shows for 6-7 years. Forever missed out on seeing some great artists. That’s life.
Girlfriend is saintly, and is happy for me to do my thing, which is to go to too many concerts…she goes to approx. 40% of the shows that I attend. When my children were children and lived at home I maybe went to 10 shows a year, and never travelled for such. Now it's around 60-80/year, and includes away-dates.
