Her father and his family grew up in Flint.
We have a UofM campus in Flint! Totally no excuse!

I get so confused by the Michigan teams… I take it you are a fan of the blue uniform guys and not the green ones?

I am not even sure where he or his brother went to college (well, her dad went to William and Mary for his PHD but I am not sure where he went for his undergrad studies… I dont think it was in Michigan though).

I should probably ask why he and his brother are such huge Spartan fans.  I think they might have even spent their formative years in East Lansing and not Flint.  I just know it was in that general area…
Yes, I like the maize and blue guys, not the green and white guys.

And Flint is actually about 15 minutes closer to Ann Arbor than to East Lansing, just for the record.
This Tuesday show is tempting; Sex Dwarf (Sweden), Lotus Fucker, WarGames, Dopecopper, Juicy Karkass (OR) at Barclay House…
Wonder what happened to AzarSwan over here.

Jail Solidarity and a couple other bands at The Rocketship Wednesday.
Rashad Becker/Eli Keszler/Slow Slow Loris at Pyramid Atlantic if I can't convince RR to go to Elisa on Friday.
that Rashad Becker/Eli Keszler show sounds good
Yes it does.

Might also do Hound on Saturday.
Sloan Friday at RNR Hotel is a goal…

haven't seen them since 2008….

looking at my email it would seem I also saw them in 2004 but I can't recall much about that show..oh wait its coming back to me now… i think i just get the two shows mixed up cause they were both at the Black Cat….2008 I remember having a nice conversation with Patrick about DC hardcore/straight edge..
Going to the David Bowie exhibit in Chicago tomorrow!
Thursday - Kristeen Young and Wet Brain at Metro Gallery
Saturday - Bleachers at SoundStage
Saturday - Blonde Redhead
Sunday - Bob Dylan
Le Guess Who this week!  So far I'm thinking

Thursday - Einsturzende Neubauten, Silver Apples or Tamikrest, Ben Frost, Loop
Friday -  Jenny Hval, Hylouris White, Sir Richard Bishop, Trans Am, Prurient, Cut Hands
Saturday - Savages / Bo Ningen, Wire, Swans, Autechre, Hieroglyphic Being (if i can stay up that late)
Sunday - 24 hour dronefest, St. Vincent - haven't decided on others yet

May switch this up - want to mainly try to see bands I know I don't have a good chance of seeing again - already seeing Swans in march again, but they are my favorite band so must see. Way too much overlap of bands I would like to see tho
^ Einsturzende Neubauten for sure….
very interested in going to the Jonathan Richman and Dean Ween Group shows at the Ottobar later this week.. but not sure I'll make it…
Deaner.

Sweet I guess I will check it out.  Kristeen Young sounds interesting.
Wednesday - maybe have a little (mostly) punk rock pre-Thanksgiving fun at the WindUp Space for Nots, Gotobeds, Boy Spit, and a couple others

Saturday - torn between Nerftoss release show, or Hive Bent, Birth Defects, Wildhoney, and some others in Bel Air (or stay home)
Most likely Horse Lords tonight.
Gotobeds thing Wednesday.
Priests (at the club!) Friday.
Mitski and some others Saturday.
