Atomicfront refuses to meet people from the board because he met some freako girlfriend through the internet…
Missed that story.
I'll be at Deathfest on Sunday. Maybe Saturday too. We shall see.

Coliseum at Black Cat on Thursday is very tempting as well.

the Soundstage tickets are all sold out at this point.

That ends that, then!
Future Islands fans, if you didnt go last night, you missed out.  The band was as amazing as ever and it really felt like a special occasion.  They played two off of In Evening Air (An Apology and Long Flight) and a couple from On the Water (Before the Bridge and Give Us the Wind); and that was it for old songs.  The rest of the 90 plus minutes set was new material, never played live, and shared with the world for the first time last night.  The songs didnt even have titles, as Sam pointed out for most of them.  Their new album is going to be great, if last night was any indication.  Clocking in at over an hour and a half, it was probably the longest set they will play, as they usually do hour long sets. Anyways, great music, and a great crowd equaled magic.
Tonight - oOoOO/Adventure/Braider/Sick Din at Metro Gallery
Monday - Blank Realm/Apache Dropout/Foul Swoops/Thee Tsunamis at Black Cat
Wednesday - Ringo Deathstarr/Roomrunner (record release show)/Hive Bent/Wildhoney at Metro Gallery
Friday - The Smittens/ Tigercats/ Making Marks/ The Mean Season at Velvet

I almost forgot there is a conflict on Friday for me.  The aforementioned Velvet Pop show versus Black Pus (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmGtsA_yrsU)/Weekends/Wing Dam/Baby Aspirin DVD/Teenage Souls at Metro Gallery…
Check your Twitter.
The Pet Milk thing?  Looks fun.  I am not sure I can go to Philly in the middle of a week though.

Also i skipped Apache Dropout and the rest (too many Memorial Day BBQs to do anything last night); how was it?  That Apache Dropout album has been getting tons of plays by me.
Awesome!

Best Foul Swoops set maybe ever?
Blank Realm killed.
Thee Tsunamis were a very pleasant surprise.
Apache Dropout were also really good.
That show I reviewed above last night.
Monochrome Set Thursday
Aye Nako/Lisa Drank Saturday

Edit: Oops. I guess that Termals gig is on Thursday and I will be missing it.

I will go to one of those with you. You probably know where my preference lies.
Imperial China's final show on Wednesday
the Thermals on Thursday (likely - taking a friend's extra ticket)
ShawnMikael(s) on Friday
Charli XCX at the USMH on Monday
Looking forward to being the Old Man At The Club
No one else is going to Roomrunner/Ringo Deathstarr tonight?

Showlist, let me know how you like Pure Junk! It is supposed to be their first "out of town" gig.  I wont be seeing them until June 23 on that Peals/Pure Junk/Roomrunner show.

Az… Too bad a Monochrome Set show wasn't in DC or Baltimore.
