In approximately 2000, my then female interest invited me to join her and some friends at the 9:30 for Camper/Cracker show. Or was it Cracker/Camper?
Anyway, we're in the balcony on the rail during the first band, and a stranger comes up from behind and knees me in the back of the knee hard,  causing me to buckle to the ground in pain. I immediately decide I'm going to play it cool and ignore the guy, but my girlfriend starts screaming at the guy and asking me if I know him. I (jokingly, gently) put my arm around him and say "Yeah, no worries, we're old pals." And he immediately smashed his beer bottle over my forehead. The next thing I know riding I'm in an ambulance to Howard, and my only Camper show is over.
So how much concert karma is it that 25 years later, I go to a James show, enter a contest to win tickets to Camper….and win.

** My wife's one Fall concert, if I make it through Saturday night.

It was my understanding that he ran out of the club and didn't return, before they could grab him.

Oh wow that was probably the traveling apothecary tour when Camper got back together… still have the shirt from that. What an awesome show (until some dude walked his head into my beer bottle)….

Really looking forward to this one. So sad prolly the last Camper show….
